Check out the show pics at Web Guys Photography.

Next up is practice at Unity Raceway scheduled for Saturday and Sunday April 24 & 25, 2004.

JR Gray wins Best Use of Paint & Graphics at Race-A-Rama

For 2004 JR Gray has decided to use fellow Team MOBBWEB's painter, You NameIt. The decision paid off for Gray as he picked up the Best Use of Paint & Graphics Award at Race-A-Rama 2004. Matt Eaton has been using You NameIt for a few years and the hand painted cars have won award after award. Gray's car has a Patriotic theme with a gorgeous Eagle on the hood. Another fantastic creation from You NameIt in Gouldsboro, ME. JR will look to add to his show awards at the Unity Raceway Car Show at the Waterville Wal-Mart in Waterville, ME on April 17, 2004. Eaton's Team has not decided if they will be able to attend the Unity show or not. Other Team MOBBWEB cars you will be able to see at the Unity Raceway show are Shorette Motorsports, GEO Motorsports, Randy Turner Racing, and Cecil Bryant.

Eaton wins Best in Show & Fernald gets Best Use of Paint & Graphics @ Racin' Preview '04

Team MOBBWEB snags two more prestigious show awards at Portland, ME's Racin' Preview. Matt Eaton of Little Deer Isle, ME picked up his first award of the Car Show Season. His Finding Nemo Theme won Best in Show at Racin' Preview an award his team is familiar with at the Racin' Paper's annual show.

George Fernald brought his award winning car to Portland and made it two for two. Fernald won the Best Use of Paint & Graphics with his Batman, Superman, Wonderwoman, Spiderman & Wonderwoman themed car.

Eaton's car will appear next at Race-A-Rama in Springfield, MA March 5 - 7, 2004. Fernald will be taking that show off to prepair his cars for the Unity Raceway Car Show to be held at the Waterville Wal-Mart in Waterville, ME on April 17, 2004.

Geo Motorsports Joins Roster MOBBWEB announced that George "Batman" Fernald has joined the ranks of the MOBBWEB Racing Team. Fernald said "the kids (fans) keep bugging me about getting one (website)." The Geo Motorsports website will keep the Batman Theme. The site will include Fernald's drive for the Unity Raceway Pro Stock Title. The fans will also get to follow his Thursday Night Ramp Shows. As an added bonus you will get to follow his son George Jr. in his debut season in the newly formed Youth Truck Division.

Eaton Racing Debuts New Theme In 2003 Matt Eaton raced his Monsters Inc. Monte Carlo to the Super Sportsman Championship. Eaton hopes to have the same success in his 2004 Finding Nemo Monte Carlo. The paint scheme includes almost all of the Finding Nemo characters. There is even an added character that doesn't fit the theme. Check out Matt's Car at the Northeast Motorsports Expo, Racin' Preview, Race-A-Rama or the Unity Car Show and see if you can find the added character.

Family Truckster to Debut in Augusta Shorette Motorsports will be running a new car in the Mini Stock Division in 2004. You may have heard the stories. If so they are true. Paul Shorette will be debuting his Pinto Station Wagon in Augusta at the Northeast Motorsports Expo. You can also see Shorette's car at the Racin' Preview in Portland, ME & the Unity Car Show at the Waterville, ME Wal-Mart.

RTR to Run Unity in 2004 Randy Turner Racing announced that they will be running for the 2004 Pro Stock Title at Unity Raceway. Randy Turner has been on the PASS tour the last few seasons. Due to the high cost of the tour schedule RTR will be staying closer to their Freedom, ME home and compete weekly at Unity Raceway. In just ten races at Unity in 2003 Turner never finished outside the Top 10 and picked up a couple of Wins.

Cecil Bryant Joins Roster Cecil Bryant added his name to the list of MOBBWEB racers. As is becoming the case the low budget local race team is hoping a web presence will help gain sponsorship and notariaty. At just 15 years old the new website will help Bryant get his name out as one of the future's next talents. The site will also let Cecil give his sponsors more exposure as well as give his fans a place to follow him.

Catch 22 Unsure of Future Personal problems prevented Fred Ashmore from competing in 2003 and his 2004 status is still in the air. Catch 22 Racing began building a Unity Super Street in 2003. Even if they complete the car for 2004 it will most likely be a limited schedule for the former Mini Stock Championship Runner-up.
